Luxury Moves ("we", "us") is a tour operator based in Toronto, Ontario, and is the organization responsible (the data controller) for personal information collected through www.luxury-moves.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for Québec residents, Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. The booking form on this site does not submit data to our servers. When you press "Send request", it opens your own email app with a pre-filled message to [email protected]. If you send that email, we receive:
- your name, email address and, if you add it, your phone number;
- the tour, departure date and number of travellers you asked about;
- anything you write in the notes field, such as pickup city or room preferences.
Our web server also keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, page requested and time) for security and troubleshooting.
We use the Google tag (Google Ads) on this site. When you visit, Google collects your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you view, and whether you arrived from one of our ads or sent a booking request. Google uses cookies to do this; see our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- To answer your request, check availability and confirm your booking.
- To share the details needed to deliver your tour with hotels, casinos and transport partners on your itinerary.
- To keep the website secure and working.
- To measure how well our Google ads work and to show our ads to people who have visited this site before.
We do not sell your personal information. Your booking emails are never shared with advertisers.
Who we share it with
Our domain's email is handled by Cloudflare, Inc., which also delivers this website through its network. Google LLC receives the website visit data described above through the Google tag. Tour partners receive only what they need to host you. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Cloudflare and Google may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
How long we keep it
We keep booking correspondence for as long as needed to provide your tour and meet our accounting and legal obligations, then delete it. Server logs are kept for a short period and then rotated out.
Your rights
You can turn off personalized ads from Google in My Ad Center or block cookies in your browser. You may also ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent or have it deleted. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you live in Québec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Person in charge
Our person in charge of the protection of personal information can be reached at [email protected].
